The collection of paintings and sculptures within Brownsville Historical Association embrace a wide range of works of art that are both local and foreign in origin. The art collection contains etchings from James Smillie, which are on permanent display Stillman House Museum. The museum’s collection also includes pieces from the Backal Family collection, paintings from local Brownsville artist Carlos Cisneros, casted bronze Fredrick Remington statues, paintings from Charles M. Russell, Armando Garcia Nunez, and Carlos Romero Orozco.
